vacation. Days One & Two: Welcome to New Orleans!
Our flight from Omaha departs early on Friday, January 9, arriving
in New Orleans late morning.
NEW ORLEANS
Beautiful and beguiling, eccentric, exciting and enchanting New
Orleans invites you to enjoy the interesting history and flavor
of the intriguing French Quarter, still retaining much of the
same architecture of the past 300 years. The French Quarter
is famous for it’s antique and art galleries, live music,
quirky museums and great restaurants.
Visit secluded courtyards, haunted mansions and above-the-ground
cemeteries, the “cities of the dead.” Learn the scandals
and secrets of New Orleans colorful past and present.
Scour the French Market for trinkets and treasures. Indulge
in a cloud of powdered sugar with beignets and café au
lait at Café de Monde. The atmosphere around Jackson Square is
colorful and entertaining as dozens of artists, street performers,
fortune tellers, and professed psychics, compete for attention.
Activities are endless. Swamp boat and airboat tours take the
adventurous into the boggy bayous for close-up views of Louisiana
wildlife. Plantation tours attest to the glory days of the Old
South.
Overnight at the charming Hotel St. Marie, conveniently located
in the French Quarter.
You will have time to do more exploring of this vivacious city
before we board our “Fun Ship” and set sail at 4:00
p.m. today.
Day Three: Today you have “fun day” at sea, offering
you many activities from which to choose, or – just relax
in the sun by the pool.

Day Four: Progreso, Yucatan
Today gives you the opportunity to enjoy this “Gateway
to the Yucatan.”

This bustling town offers a variety of beaches, watersports and
a wide selection of duty-free shopping along El Malecon—a
seaside promenade with brightly colored facades. While you’re
here, don’t miss the excursion opportunity to see one
of the great wonders of the world: the ruins of the ancient
Mayan city of Chichen Itza.
Day Five: Cozumel
Another day of “paradise” is in store for you as
you visit beautiful Cozumel.
COZUMEL
Snorkel along legendary coral reefs, relax on never-crowded beaches
and find great bargains on handicrafts and silver jewelry.
Or take an excursion to ancient Mayan ruins. Do some deep-sea
fishing or experience a Dolphin encounter at Chankanaab Park.
Day Six: Again you have a chance to relax on a “fun day
at sea”.
Day Seven: Arriving back in New Orleans this morning, you will
board your afternoon flight back to Omaha, filled with wonderful
memories of your “Winter Vacation Getaway to Paradise!”
